Feeling like a chore
I know this has probably been discussed before but when you are Bd'ing for the sole purpose of TTC doesn't it feel like a chore? There was so much pressure , then I thought it wasn't going to happen so we would miss our chance and then I started to cry. I felt like an idiot! I was making my Dh upset which made the situation worse.
One more night of trying and I hope to God it worked. I don't want to have to go through this again! I know that many of you have been doing this for so long! I just wanted to give you all extra hugs! It totally takes the fun out of BD. The constant monitoring of ovulation, charting, etc is such a PIA. I have a new found respect for anyone doing this! I hope each of you graduate to the pregnancy board quickly and pray that everyone ion here gets there little miracle!
Now on to the 2WW......I will need extra support for that too. I am glad you are all here!

Re: Feel like a chore
I feel the exact same way..it's awful. I actually loathe having to plan it and make sure timing is right.
First time around it was so stress free..we figured we'd try but that just meant going off BC and having fun, lol. And i got pregnant immediately. Now we're mindful of the right time, the right signs etc...and I'm pretty sure AF is arriving on schedule again...sigh...
I HATE feeling like sex is a chore. It shouldn't be. But with a 2 year old and needing more sleep than ever, its just not the "same" and it makes me sad!!

Re: Feel like a chore
Wanted to add..what DOES help is to get out for a date night, have a drink or two and just relax a bit. It really hasn't been bad..but I can tell that a few more months of it not happening it WILL start to feel that way God bless everyone who has been trying for a long time...may you all get your BFP's soon!!!!

Re: Feel like a chore
Sometimes it does feel like a chore especially when you are juggling days and schedules and etc...
But I try to keep in mind the bigger picture. We both want to have a baby so badly that it is worth it to us.
Try to hang in there. We all know how you feel!

Re: Feel like a chore
Plus I work nights sio we have limited time between getting my son ready for bed and me getting sleep and getting ready for bed! The window of opportunity was greatly diminished!
Date night would be great if I had someone to watch my son more! He is sick now too so I wouldn't want to leave him!
to everyone!

Re: Feel like a chore
Oh believe me, I know exactly what you mean!
I try different things, depending on the month. This month DH wanted to know when I was Oing and we BD'd 2 days in a row, with no trouble.
Other months, I try to keep it from him. I try to make our BD as spontaneous as possible for the first night or two. By the 3rd, DH usually knows what's going on
You can always try spicing it up with movies (wink wink), or moving to different places around the house.
Best of luck! FM me if you ever want more advice or to talk!

Re: Feel like a chore
I know what ya mean. We are on cycle 4 right now and I tried to take more of a relaxed stance about it this month. We BD'd when we wanted except we made sure we BD'd -2, -1, and 0. By +1 we really were kind of worn out and we decided not to. I'm ok with that, even if it hurts our chances because if we had BD'd when neither one of us really wanted to, I feel like we would start heading down a dangerous road where we are only BDing because we have to.

Re: Feel like a chore
it has felt that way for so long...it was terrible. I usually ended O night with tears...because the pressure was too much.
This month has been the MOST FUN yet honestly. I don't know EXACTLY what's going on - but i think i'm 2dpo. We're going to the RE - so the pressure is a little less.... I'm also NOT telling Dave when i'm o'ing (or thought i ovulated - he thinks i'm due next week...he's so easy to mislead - sheesh)...

Re: Feel like a chore
I know exactly how you feel! We're both excited but discussing things like ovulation and CM in front of DH kind of kills the mood!!!!
