Wish me luck! Update at the bottom
Today is my appointment with my new gynecologist and I'm soooo excited. I'm hoping she'll be nice, make me comfortable and give me some honest advice about my luteal phase. My last obgyn was a beyotch so I'm really hoping I like this woman. Wish me luck!

I'm so happy!! Dr. Ostroff was super nice. I was so comfortable, I asked her every question on my list. She looked at all my charts and told me that she could tell that I was ovulating and this was good since it was half the battle. I explained my concerns with my short cycle, particularly my luteal phase. She didn't seem overly concerned with it, but she did say that if we hadn't conceived within 6 cycles, that I should come back and she would run a battery of tests on me and suggested at that time DH should go for a SA. This made me sooooooo happy because my last obgyn didn't want to do any testing until after a year of trying. At 30 years old, a year seems like a lifetime away! Since we have already tried for 3 cycles, that means we have 3 more cycles of trying and then if no BFP, she will start the testing. I'm assuming that if she then finds anything concerning she would refer me to an RE.
Phew! I feel so much better because I feel like I'm in good hands. I also like that she seems agressive about this whole thing. She's not a "wait and see" type of doctor.
Some of her answers to my questions were:
Caffeine is ok while TTC, as is alcohol (obviously not overdoing either). I asked her whether or not having a UTI could interfere with TTC and she said no, that it wouldn't. She also said exercise was ok, but nothing too strenuous or totally brand-new.
I'm so relieved and looking forward to less stress now that I feel like I have more answers!

That is such wonderful news!! What she told you about 6 months trying with an issue - is exactly what my doc told us! We just had our appointment (as you know).

That is such great news! It's wonderful to find a doctor who is being proactive and is taking the right steps!
Best of luck! Hopefully you'll be pregnant before the 6 month mark!

Sounds like your new doctor is on the ball. It's sooo important! Hopefully you'll get PG before the 6 mths time so you won't even have to go through all the testing!
