How long for a long enough LP?
Just wondering how long one's LP should be? I know ideally it's 13-14 days... but what's the minimum?

Re: How long for a long enough LP?
i've read different things online but MOST seem to agree that a short LP is under 10 days.

your LP is the number of days between O day and AF. so 1DPO is the first day of your LP.

Re: How long for a long enough LP?
I think I may have a short LP (around 10 days)
is this something I need to see my OB about?

mine is on the low end of the range too (11 days) so i've done some reading online about this. i've read that if you have been TTC for 6 months or more and suspect your LP is short, you should definitely mention it to your dr. of course, if you are concerned about it you can always talk to you dr before you hit the 6 month mark. some girls on here have successfully lengthened their LP by a day or two by adding B complex to their daily intake. i would do a search on here to find out more info about that. I'd say yes, it's something to at least speak to your OB about.
I think it could mean low progesterone which could make it harder for you to get pregnant or to sustain a pregnancy. There are ways to fix it, so you should ask your doctor what is recommended.

I already take a b6 complex every day due to a clotting disorder that I have. I think I will see what this month brings and then maybe talk to my OB

14 days is perfectly fine.
My LP ranges from 9 to 11 days, but I have spotting for several days before hand. I got pregnant on our first try.

Re: How long for a long enough LP?
10 days is the minimum LP (time between O and AF without spotting). Anything less than that is considered a LP defect which needs to be treated with some kind of medication.
