I don't see the need for the waterproof one. Even if it gets wet for a split second you could always just throw it in a dryer if need be.

If the prices are comparable-- I would get the waterproof one. From a design aesthetic, I prefer the original one.

I like the water resistant one....I think mine is water resistant too---I never used it with Derek, but will def. be using it with this baby. The original one is just to fluffy for me...I like how the other one is much thinner (at least mine is, and they look like the same material on the inside)

20 dollars more i rather have.. i found the original worked great. If you do alot of walking to get where you need to go.. then the waterproof one would be ideal. I pretty much house car, car to place etc.. so no need for waterproof..
Is the waterproof one breathable?.. i would worry about child overheating.

i got this one, in pink tho..
its so comfy, and alil cheaper then the ones youre looking at, but its rated perfectly, and the material is great!!
its called the "posh pouch"..they were on sale this week at BRU..if youre interested
i like the way this one comes around the babys face..so if its super windy you can just "pop the collar" hehehe Image Attachment(s):

I like the original better. Since it is the nice fleece inside I think it is warmer. Also, the fabric of the original is sort of like the Artic Fleece from Old Navy -- the water repels a bit anyway. I never had a problem with it getting wet.
Not to mention, I just prefer how the first one looks.

I like # 2 its much easier to clean I have a water proof one from either lands end or LLBean that is waterproof and love it. I cant find it on their website though. Its older I got it from my sister and my niece is now 5 1/2 they may not sell it anymore.

thewaterproof one is aimed for the "urban" baby, who might be walking in the rain type of thing, if your going from house to car, the 1st one is fine.
