My HCG is down to 2...
My HCG is down to 2 now after my ectopic pregnancy and tube removal 10 days ago. Is this normal? I thought it should be zero but the nurse sounded like there was nothing more to worry about now that it is at 2. I'm probably overanalyzing.

Under 5 is non-pregnant. You can breathe a sigh of relief that it is over.

They want to see that number below 5. So, you are fine. Don't stress over that.
Glad its down. What is your next move?

Re: My HCG is down to 2...
Thanks all.
I'm sort of relieved of course but I also just feel so empty.
As for next steps, on Tuesday I have my follow-up appointment to make sure I healed properly. It will be about 2 and a half weeks since the surgery then.
After that, I have my first appointment with an infertility specialist/RE on September 8th. I just mailed all my paperwork to them yesterday (tons of questionaires) and faxed over to my regular GYN and the OB that handled the ectopic requests for my files to be sent to the RE.
I'm looking forward to seeing the RE and getting some answers. DH and I won't TTC again until we get an HSG on my remaining tube also. I have to try my hardest to prevent this from happening again, if possible.

Re: My HCG is down to 2...
It took a little while for my numbers to go down after my ectopic. They told me that for a few weeks after my surgery a HPT would show positive, until everything got out of my system.
It takes your body a little while to figure out you aren't pregnant. Your hormones are probably all over the place right now. This is normal.
