For those that have been to an RE...

What was your first visit like? I'm told I will be there for about 2 hours.

Thanks.

Re: For those that have been to an RE...

My first visit we sat down with the Doctor, discussed our histories and possible plans of treatment. Then they took about 10 vials of blood.

Re: For those that have been to an RE...

Our first appt was about 40 minutes (we already knew what we were in for though)...We discussed all my DH's test results that he had done by the urologist. Then we made a game plan, did an internal sonogram on me..I didn't have my vials of blood taken until I started my next cycle..

Re: For those that have been to an RE...

My first visit was about 3 hours.

Met with the doctor
Met with the nurse
Doctor did an exam (sono, no pap since I had already had one, but he did do a swab to make sure I had no infections)
Had a ton of blood taken from both me and my DH
Met with the Finanical department

I'm told I'll have a sono too. Do you guys know what they are looking at/for specifically in the sono?

My first visit was the same except that DH was not with me so he did not have any bloodwork done and I did not meet with the financial department.

i was told to make sure there is no cysts and that everything looks normal and so they get an idea on what he has to work with. he also made me get a HSG to make sure i didnt have an blockage in my tubes. that was done a week later at the hospital

I was there for a while. I don't know how long.
We talked with the doctor for a long time. Took a billion viles of blood and then had a sonogram.
