How many of you have had an HSG?
I am having one this month most likely next week. I am nervous but I hope it will give me some answers.

I had one this week. I found out it was all okay and that it increases fertility for a few months after. So it not only a test but a treatment!

I have a Rx for one, and haven't gone yet. I will likely go next month.
I understand why you're nervous, but try and think of it as a good thing. A lot of girls on this board get pg right after the HSG....it "cleans out the pipes"

I actually just had one yesterday because I am dealing with IF issues. It's a little uncomfortable, but not really that bad.

I had it a couple of months ago and it hurt, even though it was like 4 minutes. I have a blocked tube so maybe thats why. But if I had to do it again, its tolerable. Some (most) women have little to no discomfort I hear.

I'm with you on that one Tara! Mine hurt so bad that I couldn't go to work after bc I had cramping all day. All I did was lie down when I got home.

I had one two months ago, it wasn't too bad - just a little bit of uncomfortableness/tugging - I felt pretty okay after, I didn't feel like going out dancing or anything, but just came home and rested - it was fine. Good luck, I'm sure it will all be fine.

Me three... Since I just had an ectopic and have only one tube left, I feel the need to get it checked before TTC again. Let us know how it goes!

I had an HSG when I had my laproscopic endometriosis surgery in November. We weren't trying back then, so it really didn't have that much of an effect on me, I guess. I can't comment on the pain either, since it was combined with another procedure. Essentially, I'm no help on this subject
