temping is your best bet.
i don't know for sure - but you have to be trying for a while before many doctors will run test after test on ya...
i'd be happy to share my chart with you - this is my first month of temping and it's very obvious when it happened!

my doc asked me if i used opks and said those were also extremely reliable in telling if you ovulate

ITA.
OPKs and the CBEFM will detect your LH surge, which is a FAIR indicator that you will ovulate, but doesn't guarantee it.
Temping is a pretty easy way to be able to know that you're ovulating without having to see your doctor. It's pretty simple, and your temps will show a clear pattern once you have ovulated!
