Do you ever feel like you.......
need time away from the TTC board and not actually the TTC process?
for me, i have a office job that i can always be on the internet and have slow days often... and i LOVE LIF .. and im especially addicted to this TTC board.. and it does help in a HUGE way..and i love all the ladies on here.. there is never any drama and its so nice to chat with everyone...
but at the same time, i feel like im getting wayyyyyyyy to obsessed with TTC
its so hard NOT to go on here though.. am i the only one?? 
now will i actually do it?? i dont know if i can...lol

You are not alone. Ever since AF came 2 days ago, I feel I have to step back from the ttc/pregnancy boards. It's definitley starting to become an obsession. 
I don't see anything wrong with taking a break. I know for me, this month, I am trying to focus more on fixing up my house and helping my sister find a place for her wedding.
It's all about distraction

It will happen in time, you know that. Sometimes I think it's this board that makes us nuts and sometimes I think it's just me and my own head!!!!
You do what you have to do for you. I would miss you terribly, but would totally understand!

yea i hear you!! and glad im not alone 
and it could be stupid things like girls that are getting their BFP, and im not  i think it gets to you a little.. and why it sounds so dumb is .. i dont know anyone personally !!

you know what it is that im feeling this way...
i have made an observation..
now in some cases its not true but...
if you notice the girls who have been on here and had no luck.. then they came back and said they were PG..
i dont want to name names.. but i just caught on to it.. and maybe not being on here helped them not be so stressed and went on to get BFP!

its not all about the BFP's that girls are getting.. ... i think its the overall picture.. the stress , and like you said.. i need to relax.

I noticed that too the other day!!
i wasn't sure if they stepped away for a while or if they switched to a fake name with their BFP.
I definately thinking stressing over it doesn't help the process.
I'm sure you've know those couples that try to have a baby for years, adopt and then get pregnant.

I know exactly what you mean. But I've found that this board is the only thing that keeps me SANE during these times! Yes, it drives me crazy occasionally and makes me feel jealous and bitter at times, but overall it is my saving grace.
It saves me from overwhelming DH and friends IRL also.
And, I learn things here that I never would have learned and answers questions that I would have been too shy to ask IRL.
TTC is stressful! We took last month off, but I stayed on the boards, and I found that I really was NOT stressed one bit! It wasn't the boards stressing me out, it was just the whole process of TTC. That month I even temped and used the CBEFM and neither of those things stressed me out at all. I just felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders knowing that I didn't have to obsess over whether or not I was pregnant.
And, since every month I basically obsess over whether or not I could be pregnant... at least here I have people to join me!

i totally understand what you are saying as well..
and sometimes i feel that this board helps me out in a way that i dont have to overwhelm my DH also.
and there are MANY pluses about being on here, and the information you get is just amazing.. and this is why i just cant leave.. that even though i feel that i NEED a break, i just dont know if i can, or will. the girls on here just make you feel so much better when you are feeling down.. and this happened to me countless amount of times
so with that said.. i hate feeling so confused about it.. is it really the board or is it just me??

Deanna, I know I will be in this same predicament in September when we TTC! Remember how wedding obsessed I was on LIW? I was warned one too many times that I had to get off the boards for a bit....like that worked!
It can make you nuts...I know this board will do it to me too....but like maybeamommy said, this is where we go when we really need to talk about things we've been banned from discussing with others.

YES...I know exactly how you feel...This board and all of the info is sometimes too much for me. Then I wonder over to the Preg board and before I know it I am in tears...It's good to take a break every now and then

I have taken breaks from the boards because I find sometimes they fuel my anxiety. I would recommend a break if you are feeling obsessive.

I like to check in daily to see how everyone is doing. See if anyone got the BFP. Other than that- i'm no help at all on this board. I don't temp, chart, opk, opp and any other thing everyone is doing. I really don't know much on the topics and what I do know I learned from this board.

I'm right with you I've been trying to stay off of the computer as much as I can lately (which, being an I.T. professional, is a little hard!)! I don't know...I love reading everything & keeping up with everyone, but I think that I'm still a little sad and sometimes being on here (& the Internet in general) is a little counter-productive. I'm taking the "whatever happens happens" approach right now & as great as it is, I find that I focus a bit too much on the process when I'm online too much. KWIM?

You are absolutely not alone. I am a newbie who doesn't post often b/c sometimes I feel so overwhlemed. Interestingly enough last year when I got preggers (ended in M/C), it was the one month that I had given up and used no method. So I do believe there is something to be said about that. I do love this board for the fact we can uplift and encourage each other. I wish you continuous success to all the future mommies. Sticky Dust to All.
