Re: Do you deal well with change?

I try to see the good things that will come from the change...instead of focusing on the negative aspects....easier said than done.

When it comes to work related changes...I try to stay away from the negative forces at work...whospend more time bad mouthing the co and bosses than actually working....It does help because I don't let them drag me into their negative thinking.

When it comes to family and friends...then I just try to picture how good things can be in the future...as a result of the change.

No, not really. Though I found that I fear it much, much more in my work life than I do in my personal life.

Not really...I am a major creature of habit and do better with routine than change.

I actually thrive in change. I need it to keep me going! I get too bored when things stay the same for too long.

Re: Do you deal well with change?

Talking about chnage and dealing w/ it IMO are easier said than done. I have know for a whilet hat DH & I would end moving to another state...but now that we are actually going through it....I've had my really bad crying days. I'm trying to focus on the good things that come with this chnage, but the family bond is not so easy to part with. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Do you deal well with change?

You should read the book "Who Moved MY Cheese?" I had to read it for work. It was cute and silly, but it had a lot of good isnight to change and learning to deal with it and see it as an opportunity

Re: Do you deal well with change?

I am horrible with change. It literally sends me into a whirlwind. We are working on our place now and its driving me crazy. It can be the simplest of things..like right now my computer is in a different spot than it used to be and I cant even comfortably type.

I try not to focus on it to much but it always seems to get to me. I wish I could change that.

OMG...NO!!! I hate change. I even get antsy before vacations like if I forget something the place I will be going will never have these items. I hate job change, house change, any changes. I like being comfortable.

It depends on the type of change. Death is one I cannot deal with well but I like professional change.

I think you have to think of the positives and see it as a move FORWARD.

Re: Do you deal well with change?

I'm actually very good with change. I've had alot of things happen to me in life and in my career and I don't have any problems with it. I embrace it and like new things.
In my reviews -at work especially- people always compliemnet me on it.

Re: Do you deal well with change?

I laugh about it. I read "who moved my cheese" and it talks about change and how to adapt to it. Now I just basically laugh because if something is changing no matter what I do it's going to change so I might as well just make the best of it and enjoy the ride.
