Did you tell dh you were going off of the pill or did you just stop?
did you discuss with him you were thinking of coming off of it and wanted to see what he thought..or did you just not care what he was going to think and just stop?
Just curious.
I came off bcp in Sept 07 after our wedding. I just told him I didn't want to take it anymore.
Kind of curious about everyone else

we made the decision together technically. i explained to him that it takes awhile for your body to adjust after having been on it for 10 plus years...and he was 100% fine with it. we were careful for a month or so and now it's let's get it on baby!

Yup. We were talking about going for it in a few months, so I told him I had to get my cycle regulated. I just finished my last pack on Saturday!

I told DH after the wedding that I wanted to give my body a break from the pill. I'd been on it for almost 6 years. We were just careful for the months that we were waiting to TTC and now we're trying.

I told him that my cycles were really irregular before going on BCP and that I wanted to see if it would regulate before we started TTC. I went off in Feb and we were really careful for 3 cycles until I realized I was having regular cycles. The 4th cycle we decided to just let whatever happened happen and I got pg.

We made the decision together. Although DH wanted me to stop the pill earlier than I did b/c he was worried that it may have side effects somewhere down the line (like breast cancer).

We discussed it beforehand & collectively came to a decision that suited both of us. We knew that once I came off of it, we would not use any protection (we only used the pill as ours) & that I could end up pg!!!

We talked about it about October 2007. December came and I said, is this gonna be my last pill? He said "If you want it to be?" (Typical male answer!) I said "ok, we're gonna try to make a baby!!!!"
I have about 7 months worth of BC in our cabinet!!! I didn't plan ahead thats for sure!!!!

Yes, but I came off of it way before we ttc due to medical reasons.

wow! And I felt bad about leaving a month's pack behind and the rest of my prescription at the pharmacy! I used to have months of pills when my pill was new and the nurses would give me free packs- LOVED that. Saved so much $$.
