REALLY sore throat
Hey everyone! I am 13 weeks pregnant and this afternoon my throat started to feel scratchy...and now it has gotten so bad that I can hardly talk! I can barely swallow. I am going to go to my doctor tomorrow morning to check for strep. Did anyone ever have a really bad sore throat, if so...what did you do for it before you could get to the doctor?

I have had a few of those!!! Not strep but some bad allergy related ones others probably from talking too much  I usually treated them with cough drops, tea with honey, and lots of water. A few times I took tylenol if they were really painful. Try some ice cream or the tea/honey, it will definitely soothe your throat!! Good luck!!!

I have had a sore throat all day too! I also had one last week. I went to the dr. and he said it was probably from throwing up so much--do you have ms?

I had it!! I thought I was getting a bad cold...My dr told me to drink hot fluids. I gargled with salt water but nothing helped until I gargled with listerine (three times a day at least)... It was gross but I definitely felt much better!!

I had a bad sore throat like a month before I had DS, I had the chills and a low fever too, it took forever for my sore throat to go away since I couldn't go on any meds. I drank a lot of lemon tea, and tried to rest in bed a lot.
Feel better!

I have had a sore throat/cold since I got my BFP. It's been horrible. Not much you can do. I just drank tea with lemon and honey, or hot water with lemon and honey. I also just got a strep test to be sure (negative).
I still have a post nasal drip and a cough. It has been torture, wish I had more to suggest.
Also my dr recommended garglign with salt and warm water for the sore throat and to take mild cough drops to soothe the throat (ludens or ricola without echinachea).

I actually had strep throat when i was about 20 weeks i think. Basically i woke up at 3am with a really bad sore throat that came out of no where and i knew right then it was strep. I went to the doctors office that morning and they gave me the zpack to take (completely safe for pregnancy).
