stupid rant.. would you say something?

This really is a stupid rant, and it's probably because I'm so freakin hormonal from all these drugs...

I post on another forum. They have mulptiple areas: IVF, REs by state, they even have a pregnancy forum.

I mostly spend my time posting on a thread that is specific to my RE practice, there are a number of us that all cycled together. Anyway, there are two posters that got their BFPs in March. They are always talking to eachother on this thread about their respective pregnancy, providing updates on their progress, whether or not they are going to find out the sex, etc, etc..I can't speak for the other ladies on that board, but for me, it's very uncomfortable and IMO not appropriate to be having these conversations on a thread of women trying to get through the IVF cycles (most of us having more than one cycle), especially when there is an entire separate area devoted to Pregnancy after IVF.

Would you say something? Maybe not publically, but in a private FM to both of these people, or just ignore their posts? Am I just being overly sensitive?

I know it's just a silly website and I shouldn't take it too seriously, but I feel like I need a place that's also a safe haven for me, if that makes sense.

I'm pretty new to posting on boards myself, but I see your point completely. Is there a way to alert the moderator to move the posts to the appropriate board? I'd want to say something, maybe politely say we are all happy for you, don't misunderstand, but it is a touchy subject here, could you move the pregnancy related posts to the pg board? Would that be out of line?

I would definitely FM them. If your group is for IVF then its kind of insensitive of them to talk all about their pg on it. They can FM each other. I understand b/c I am in a buddy group on another site which was for having trouble ttc. One girl is now 28 weeks pg with b/g twins and another one who had #1 through ivf just got pg by "surprise" with #2. So Its hard being in the group and I feel like I won't want to be around if this doesn't work for me but its only the 3 of us in the group so I can't really say anything.

I would def. address it either publicly or in a FM. I am sure you aren't the only one feeling this way.

I do think it's a little insensitive....I think they probably aren't even thinking, you know..not that it's right....maybe an FM would be fine.

PS - what board is this? I'd be interested to see!

I think it would really upset me to have to read about that all the time on an IF board. They should understand how difficult it is for all of you to hear about all their pregnancy issues. If they need to keep up w/ each other they should do it on the pregnancy board or email. I think I would say something.

I would alert the moderator just to avoid confrontation with the offenders. You are likely not the only one who feels that way.

I would send a private FM and nicely explain that it is difficult for those still in the process of IVF/IUI to read their posts.
