Clomid Prescription Question
Me RE will be prescribing this for me next cycle & I was wondering if anyone has filled their prescription at Walmart using the $4 plan??
We have coverage but when I looked up the payment, it says $355!!!!  There is a generic that is only $7..

$355??? Thats CRAZY!! Just get the generic clomiphene citrate!
I would check that coverage again, what is your dose? With my insurance, I pay 90 CENTS for every five 50 milligram pills. Something just sounds really off there, clomid is not an expensive drug.

I would check that coverage again, what is your dose? With my insurance, I pay 90 CENTS for every five 50 milligram pills. Something just sounds really off there, clomid is not an expensive drug.
I just called our pharmacy plan & the lady told me that for a 30 day supply of 50Mg of Clomid (brand) is $355. The generic though is only $7 for the same prescription!!!! I am thinking that I will be requesting the generic!!!!

For me but even if DH goes on it, it is the same thing...I am not 100% but I don't think I will need the 30 day supply. The RE has not gone over the specifics until I get AF.

This is why I asked - you don't need a 30 day supply, you will need a 5 day supply.
So you got a misquote! Ask again about a 5 day supply of clomiphne citrate - I am sure the #'s will be much better!

This is why I asked - you don't need a 30 day supply, you will need a 5 day supply.

Thank you so much Lauren!!!!  I looked on Walmart's website & it said I could get Clomid, 5 day supply, for $9!!! I am going to call the insurance company later on...
