Feeling out of sorts
I feel like i have no idea what is going on w/ me. I went off BCP in Jan and havent had one month where i can TRULY say DH and i could TTC bc there hasnt been one "normal" month for us.
Now my bloodwork comes back that i havent O'ed and what does that mean? I know i have O'ed on my own before. And when i first went for the internal and dr found my cyst, he said there were plenty of eggs and that i had O'ed already that month. So what gives??? My cycles are EXTREMELY long and so couldnt it be that when i did the blood on cd21 that maybe i just hadnt O'ed yet? Now dr thinks i should try clomid and who is to say thatll work? I have no idea what thats even supposed to do.
I just feel down today

Re: Feeling out of sorts
I think I already told you before, but the same thing happened with me... it was 15 months off the pill when I got pregnant and my cycles still weren't regulated. I know how it feels to want to try but not be able to. If you cycles are long then it is obvious why your cd21 bloodwork would show you didn't ovulate. You have to take that test at 7dpo - which is why I started charting. ALso, don't forget about vitex. It significantly shortened my cycles!

Re: Feeling out of sorts
I know it totally sucks to not know what's going on with your cycle... Hopefully, you are starting to at least see some patterns, and maybe notice some things that are happening in your body that will tell you what's up.
Are you seeing an RE yet, or just your regular GYN?
When I first went to the RE, I know that my insurance covered the initial visit and any testing. Depending on the issues and what needed to be done--well, that's another story.
I think that might be a good next step for you since you seem to be getting contrasting information.

Re: Feeling out of sorts
I agree with Julz. Think back to before BCP - appx how long were your cycles? If they were over 35, then it is very possible that you hadn't O yet on CD21.
Have you been using the O sticks since the last Drs appt?
Is it possible this cycst is getting in the way more than they think, hence preventing both AF and O?
Would it make sense to remove the cyst so it takes that variable out of the equation?
What does sis say?
I'm sorry you're so frustrated, but I think you guys "started trying" earlier than you planned, so think of it as being ahead of the game. Hopefully you're getting all of the issues out of the way now, so you'll be PG right in time for when you wanted (spring 09 due date).

I know how frustrating this whole process can be. Maybe you just didn't O yet on CD 21. I've O'd on CD 22 once and CD 24 once.
Can you be referred to an RE?

I agree-- with this and some of the other posters.. If your cycles are 40+ days-- you WILL NOT ovulate on CD21. It's really like a week too early. Just keep up with the OPKs...
Honestly, I was sooooo frustrated in the beginning when I was like, all the girls on here are Oing on CD15, etc.. and I was on CD25 and nothing.. Until I was diligent with the OPKs and I found out when I Od.. Then I noticed things my body did right after-- like my boobs got immediately sore, and I felt minor cramps leading up to it. Once I got that first positive OPK, a lot of things fell into place and your body really does tell you what it's doing.
