Don't you have when you are talking to someone and they get in your space. I find myself backing up and backing up, and before you know it they are there again! I was talking to someone who did this to me this morning. Irritates the hell out of me.

Yes!! Someone I know has the habit of touching my arm while talking to make sure I'm paying attention. I HATE that.

I hate that or even worse is when someone comes behind my desk at work and stands over me while I am seated. I feel like I am trapped.

I HATE this!!! I have a relative who does this all of the time and I feel so uncomfortable. I very much believe in personal space and tend to treasure it.

I HATE this. This is what I do: Turn your body and take one step back, but leave your one leg in front. If they really want to get close to you, they will have to hump your leg to get to you. Most get the idea.

i HATE this. there is a woman at work who does this.
now, when she does, i either turn away from her to let her know i am uncomfortable, or else i hold my hand up - she has said "sorry" and back up after i did that.

YES!! I hate close-talkers, but this one is so much worse. I get up and walk away when it happens - so unnerving.

ugh yes my MIL does this all the time, the best is when she is telling you a story and points her finger right up close to your face, my whole head goes back, one day i am going to grab her finger and push it out of my face

This happened to me last week. He was taller than me, had his head tilted down towards me, was smiling and speaking low... it was too "intimate" for my tastes. Almost felt like a flirt.
AND it was my COUSIN.
