anyone have computer in the kitchen? like a desk/ofc space?
the home mags call them "kitchen command centers"......
I'm thinking I want to do this since we have a split and the room donwstairs where it is now will be our guest room and it's kind of small to keep a queen bed plus a desk w/ computer.

my Mom's kitchen that she renovated in the 80's had one. Of course back then people didn't have computers, but it had a phone desk with chair, a file cabinet that looked like the cabinets & regular wall cabinets above.
I think its a great idea.

I don't have one, but I would love to. Both my mom and sister have a desk in the kitchen, and it is great. My sister has her computer there as well. Next house for me!

I have something almost identical to what Mrs RBK posted, except I have the ability to close it. I have both a laptop and a tv inside as well as draws and file areas. I really love it. It keeps my stuff and my kid's stuff completely organized. There is a place for everything.

i don't have a "desk" in the kitchen but i do have a computer...
we mounted a touchscreen lcd in the wall and framed it with some molding.
as for the computer part (laptop), its hidden in our bench.... we are wired to the network to view pics, reciepes etc...
these pics are old but i'm to lazy to take new finished ones...

I don't but I've seen new construction houses with them. They're built into the cabinetry so it all kind of flows. I think it looks nice and convenient too.
