I originally saw the story about it on CNN headline news, where they explicitly said it was part of the 9/11 memorial. Then I saw this article:
Article from local Texas TV station
"Even the 9/11 angel memorial on Crawford’s Main road is dressed up for the wedding party. The Steel cut-out has a wedding veil on top and a bouquet of flowers. "
even if it were a 9/11 memorial, the sculpture is of an angel and I don't see anything wrong with someone putting a veil and flowered bo-k on it. it was a very happy occasion for the town. they didn't disfigure it. I actually think it was very sweet.
and I also am NO a fan of GW.
ETA: I don't see how this can possibly be blamed on Bush anyway. the town locals did it. people need to relax!

I am so NOT A FAN of GWB BUT this is crazy. Who cares if they put a veil on the angel. It's not even like they wanted them to do it. The locals did it. They dress it up all the time for different holidays.
Im sure this is a happy time for that little town in Texas!

Well CNN called it a 9/11 memorial, and this local station called it a 9/11 memorial. Since I don't live around the block, I can't personally attest to whether it's not a 9/11 memorial or not. I just saw it on the news, and I would assume the news, that was physically at the location would know what it was..
I also never blamed Bush for this - I just thought that dressing up a 9/11 memorial by anyone is a little out there, no matter who does it.
