How to keep it warm...
lol i know this sounds crazy but dh and i have been trying to think of our plan of attack all day for tommorow morning. we are supposed to have his "product" there by 10 am i am assuming because that is his appt time. we are comming from Farmingdale going to Mineola RE of NY office. Now says to keep it warm... now i read you keep in you bra.. but i dont have enough there to keep my self warm.  so should i drive and have dh keep it in pants? Im so nervous we will lose the sample. DH is gonna have hard enough time producing in the am im sure so we figured it would be better to do at home. Any ideas how to make this happen. Im tryin not to put any pressure on him. LOL

in the winter i wrapped the cup in tin foil and kept in in b/t my boobs...
but you could just put it b/t your or dh's legs... it doesn't have to be 'in' anyone's pants.  it's warmer out now than it was in the winter and I had about an hour drive- I JUST made it to my dr w/in the hour timeframe they tell you to get it there in.....

Ok, first of all relax. If you're up for it, give him a "hand" - for us, DH insists that I help him out (no mouth, bad for sperm)...sorry TMI. I help him out, then I put the cup between by bbs inside my bra (by the way, I am a small B so I have nothing doing in the boob department)...I put it in the middle like sort of stretching the bra between the bbs and I wear a zip up hoodie so I can try to camouflage it. You'll be fine - don't stress! Its just an SA - they'll be in the garbage soon enough - its not an IUI so if that helps him to relax, try it. Good luck!!! I'm sure he'll have champion spermies LOL!

Thanks! girls he keeps telling me to relax.. you would think we are mapping out our birthing plan. LOL I guess this is a good test run for our IUI.

Yeah well it was easier in the summer months, but the last IUI was in November. Fortunately, we live about 3 miles door to door from NSUH.

Both times we did the SA, I wrapped the cup in tinfoil & had it in my bag...This last time I held it in the tinfoil all the way to the lab...We live about 20 minutes from North Shore..

In the bra too. And yes, helping him always got better results. And it made something not fun a little more fun for us. Of course, that was once I convinced DH to let me help and he got over his "I can do it myself" attitude.

My DH did the same and it worked out fine. It was a long drive too from Ronkonkoma to syosset. Good luck!
