Got highlights but hair is like......
HAY and looks like hay!
I like how it came out but cant stand seeing this texture of my hair.
I went lighter so yes peroxide was used but I put triple conditioner and serum and even lotion.
is this normal?

Try using a shampoo/conditioner w/o sulfates for a couple of weeks. It doesn't dry your hair out as much. Once and a while my hair gets really dry after highlights and this helps so much!

If you can find it get Kerasilk conditioner and leave it in your hair for 20 minutes.
If you can't find it try getting one of those hot oil treatments V05. That should help. Also if you wash your hair everyday don't for now. Wash it every 2 days if you can.
The more product you put in the worse you'll make it so avoid putting anything in it for the time being.

My hair was like this the last time I got highlights, and I put a glaze in it at home... it is so much softer now!
John Frieda sells one, but I used a clear Clairol glaze that I bought at Sally's Beauty Supply. It was cheap too (less than $5!)!
My old salon used to put the glaze in right after my highlights. My new salon (I moved) doesn't offer it though... They would probably charge me $50 to do it anyway, so I am fine with paying $5 at Sally's!

When my hair gets really dry (it used to when I colored it and I worked on a ship-chlorinated water for showers) I used Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. I helped my hair so much.

I just got my whole head dyed blonde ( a double process) and I have been using this every time I wash my hair.. it's looking so much better
I also use the leave in cond. before I style it

Whenever my hair feels like hay, usually from too much chlorine, I put mayonaise in it and put a shower cap on to keep in the heat, and then wash it out. It smells, but it works wonders!

You have to do a deep conditioning treatment. You can use ANY conditioner you have (even the triple conditioner). I use conditioner or sometimes even olive oil.
I do it before I even take a shower. Just glob conditioner on your hair and then take a little warm water and work lather into your hair. You can then warm a towel in hot water and then wrap it around your head and leave it on for a little while and then just wash out. don't shampoo.
If you use the olive oil, don't put alot (or any) to the roots). just the ends and shaft. let it in and do the same as above. BUT you should shampoo to get it out.
Your hair will be soft and shiny afterwards.

the neutrogena triple conditioner is pretty much a godsend to my near platinum dyed hair.
Also, as hard as it might be at times, try to cut down on washing your hair as much as you can, or just use conditioner and scrub your scalp, most shampoos are just too drying.
