Back from my Gyn visit
It was a good visit. I have my script for provera and clomid. She wants me to try the provera/clomid until Oct. If nothing by then we will start talking REs and other steps we need to take.
I am so excited to start the clomid. Especially now after reading about the lovely Mrs. Riveras success.
I hope this all works out for me.

Re: Back from my Gyn visit
Thats a long time to try clomid if you are not having any results. Are you being monitored while on the clomid?

I was going to say the same thing. I started Clomid with my OBGYN in July and moved to the RE in October doing two Clomid/IUI cycles with them before moving to IVF. Looking back, I want to kick myself for not going to the RE sooner. JMO

Re: Back from my Gyn visit
She didn't mention about me coming back to be monitored. I am supposed to call in every cycle and relay what's going on and if anything arises.
What happens when you are being monitored? I mean like what happens at the visits?
I will call her today and see if we can set up a monitoring schedule.
I have to get a referral from her to see an RE.
Thanks for the info girls.

You should be having ultra sounds to check the growth of your follicles, as well as bloodwork done to check your estrogen and progesterone to watch for signs of ovulation.
I would just be concerned with doing clomid for 6 months without the proper monitoring.

Re: Back from my Gyn visit
I just saw this thread on IF. Linky
I never knew there was a limit on how many cycles you can take.
I'm such a spaz because I really like my gyn and now when I call for a RE referral she's going to think I don't trust her judgement. I know it really shouldn't matter, what matters is my health and me achieving my BFP safely but I still feel bad. I always worry about the weirdest things lol.
So I shouldn't take these pills till I see the RE right? I wish she made all this more clear at my appointment yesterday instead of just saying all the good things about it.
She told me to take the pills on day 5-9 and start using OPKs on day 11.

I think it would be a good idea to wait to take clomid until you are being monitored. I think it was VERY irresponsible of your doctor to give you prescriptions for clomid and provera for 6 months and be completely unmonitored. Not only because you should be having sonos to see how your ovaies and uterus are reacting to the clomid but also because if you got pregnant and took provera it could be very harmful to the baby.
DO NOT feel bad about not trusting your gyno's "advice." Most gynos do not properly treat with clomid.
