Can I kick my co-worker in the head?
People do not get it.
The person asks for my honest opinion on what I think the problems he has with his manager are.
I tell him as diplomatically as possible exactly what the problems are, problems with communication being the number one issue, some issues with being defensive.
What was the response I get back?
His take on why everything I said is wrong, that he communicates with his boss, etc. Right. That's why you're asking ME what *I* think the problems you have with your boss are.
BECAUSE YOU ARE A LOUSY COMMUNICATOR AND ARE DEFENSIVE!!!!

Those are some of the most annoying people. They're the kind that ask for opinions or advice where you know unless your advice agrees with them, they will just get defensive and berate you. I try to ignore such people, though it's difficult when it's your boss!
