We went for a couple's massage for my DH's birthday. It was the first time he ever had a professional massage! We enjoyed it & it was nice to be together....

We were on our honeymoon and we got side by side massages. It was a full body exfoliation, mineralizing bath, and full body massage. We both loved it!

we had massages together and frankly, I like my massages and spa treatments by myself.

It was not romantic or fun.

I feel the same. I didn't get it. I would rather just have my treatments alone.

Re: Anyone who has done a couples spa thing...

sitting in a jacuzzi is nice or a steam room, but otherwise, alone is my preference.

We schedule them simultaneously but don't do them together.

Re: Anyone who has done a couples spa thing...

If you are used to massage, pick the massage you want.

Book a "regular" massage for DH if he is not going often. You can't go wrong with that.

But most men will get what their SO gets. They don't care.

They usually tell me when I confirm their massage "oh I don't know, my wife booked it". Chat Icon

It can be very romantic.

I personally like my massage alone. DH at first was against a couple's massage but now he is open to it. Still have not done it though.

Re: Anyone who has done a couples spa thing...

When we were in Hawaii I got a pregnancy massage and DH got a sports massage

We had gotten in a car accident the day before leaving.. so we were really sore.. it was nice and relaxing..

Oh also.. they were in the same room side-by-side.. and DH requested to have a woman.. (he was very specific about that).. I had a man.. but I couldn't have cared less either way.. but you should ask DH about his preference

We have done couples massage. It's very nice but I could live without it.

We've done couples massages & in Vegas we also did this Moroccan steam thing..You get all kinds of mud on a palate & have to rub them on each otherChat Icon , then you go into this Moroccan-style steam room, it was beautiful & had aromatherapy steam & you kind of just sit there & let the steam penetrate into your pores, while you're both hysterical laughing at each other b/c you're covered in mud.Chat Icon
It was certainly an experience.
