the one in Puerto Plata? Dh and I went in 2003 when they first opened. It was very nice but they still had some kinks since it was brand new. We were lucky that our room was close to the pool and restaurants so we didn't have to travel far. It's an AI, so we def. got our $$ worth on the drinks, as for food, breakfast was fine (buffet style), lunch was ok, salads & burgers and for dinner I think we spent every night at the Italian place. My DH works for the airlines so at the time we paid $50 pp, so it was great for free food & drinks
I would check out tripadvisor for more updated reviews.
