How Do YOU pronounce
Anais. As in Anais Nin or Anais Anais perfume.
Do you say AHHHHH NY or Ah NY ISS or
Ah NYZE or some other variation on the effing name?

i had a student with this name and this is how it was pronounced
Jewel had some spoken word thing and she talks about Anais Nin but pronounced it Ah Nye is.... I cringed.

At a lecture I am asked to pronounce my name three times. I try to be slow and emphatic, "Anaïs — Anaïs — Anaïs. You just say "Anna" and then add "ees," with the accent on the "ees."
