Is there anyone out there Not...
taking lamaze classes? I just signed up for a breast feeding class but didnt want to do the lamaze class, I heard it wasnt very helpful...any thoughts??

we didn't.
We just did a parenting prep class, that included some info on some breathing techniques and what daddy's can do to help you.
We also did a breastfeeding class.

I never took a Lamaze class when I was preggo w/Hayley and since I am getting a repeat c-section I don't plan on doing it now

i'm not taking it. I just think there's no point. Me personally, i don't think you can really plan for your birth or prepare yourself IMO. But i think it does make those feel like they're more prepared.
But i don't think it actually makes a difference.

May I recommend a GREAT video? It's called "Laugh and Learn Lamaze". It's a little corny- but had some GREAT information. I rented it from my local library and DH and I watched it over the span of a week.
I actually used the breathing exercises through my contractions before I got my epi- and they really worked at making the pain manageable.
In fact, while I was actually getting the epi, I forgot to breath through a contraction and when it peaked it took my breath away. Thats when I looked at DH and said, "Holy crap- the breathing really DOES cut down on the pain!!!!!!"

Don't bother... I took it because my mother insisted it would be beneificial and let me tell you it was a huge waste of money. I learned only one thing out of the entire class.... that if DH doesn't attend a C-section class and have a signed document that he did he cannot be in the room with you if you have to deliver this way. So we then took that class which was very informative. But yea there was nothing else beneficial out of the class at all.

LOL, nope didnt with the first one and not with this one either-
honestly you dont need it- the nurses will tell you how to breathe.
you can practice at home on your own, I read what to expect when expecting and that is what got me through it- not bad at all.

When I was preggo with DD I took a parenting class at my hospital and a BF class and found them to be very helpful.
