Is DH going to BF class with you?
I'm taking a BF class this Sunday and two friends were supposed to do it with me but they had to reschedule. DH feels bad about me going alone and said he would come with. Is that weird though?

DH came with me and so did all the other DHs. He was not looking forward to it but it was recommended that he come by the instructor. I think he actually got something out of it too!!! It definitely was not weird and it is probably a good thing because he will be able to be that much more supportive!

DH came with me when I was pregnant with DS. All the partners were there and it was highly encouraged by the hospital. You will need your DS's support, especially during the first few weeks. It is't as easy as you would think it is!

Same with me. All the partners were there. And they actually asked more questions than the moms-to-be!

it's good that he's going with you - not only will you have his support but if you have trouble or get frustrated when you are starting to BF he might remember something you don't, and be helpful to you

Before I got PG I was not going to BF. I had zero interest. I am still very much on the fence but DH really wants me to. However, regardless of what HE wants, it is ultimately my choice. Because I am on the fence and because he wants it more than I do, I feel that we both should participate in the class for multiple reasons:
1) I would like to know EXACTLY what the commitment is going to be if we are going to do this right.
2)I would like HIM to know what the commitment is going to be. He may be more inclined to pay attention in a class than to me - nobody wants a lecture from their wife.
3) I want HIM to understand that though the child may be getting breast milk, that it may not always be coming directly from my breast and that HE will be responsible for feedings as well.
DH is also a great set of extra ears. He hears things I miss.
