how does morning sickness start-off?
ask and ye shall receive
first trimester girl here.... this morning I was getting worried that my symptoms are tapering off... normal future-mommy neuroticisms.... I wrote I would prefer if new symptoms would replace the ones fading away.... WELL...
OK, I'm cooking dinner. we're going to be eating super-late.... so I nuked a bowl of leftover onion soup and tossed some shredded swiss in there.... super yummy but now I feel super-bloated, sort of weighed-down and almost flu-ish.
since I'm an only child and mom never had morning sickness, I need you lovely ladies as a point of reference. What exactly are the first symptoms you felt of morning sickness, and when did you get them? do you think this is my first bout of m/s (I am 4.5 weeks right now)?
TIA!!!!

Re: how does morning sickness start-off?
you are right on time - mine came at 6 weeks. It really started with a loss of appetite for me - nothing appealed to me and the thought of eating made me naseaus.
But I think everyone is different.

Re: how does morning sickness start-off?
oh wait a second! I'm at 4.5 weeks! shoot I'm sometimes so fuzzy headed!
Let me correct the original post.
at any rate, that is how I feel right now. like the bowl of onion broth with a couple tablespoons of shredded cheese was enough, and I don't want to eat anything

Re: how does morning sickness start-off?
Mine started at 6w1d. I was fine when I woke up in the morning. Then I went into 7-11 (like I do on most mornings) and smelt the coffee. I almost puked all over the floor!!!! It stayed with me allllllll day. The next day, I woke up sick in the morning and it stayed with me all day. I've been like that ever since....I'm 7w2d today.

Re: how does morning sickness start-off?
ok, I'm NOT having sudden gagging.... at least not yet. although the parmesan cheese in the kitchen smelled repulsive to me.... but not gag-worthy.
not there yet probably it's just a loss of appetite / bloating....

Re: how does morning sickness start-off?
With my first it started off as nausea around 9 weeks i believe. I was in the bookstore and I remember just feeling faint, and wanting to hurl. However, i never threw up at all during my first pregnancy just felt like i had to at times. I had to eat, eat ,eat to not feel nausea.
Now with this pregnancy I am starting to feel very weird in the morning. I gagged this morning b/c i felt like i had to throw up. But once i got to work and ate I felt so much better. I am 5weeks 6 days.

Hmmm...sounds like we're in the same boat. I think I'm about 4weeks 6 days or so (so hard to tell with all this conflicting evidence!!!) - so far I've only had consistent, nagging AF-like cramps. Today they're almost entirely gone, but for the past two days I have a super-sniffer! And certain smells are putting me off. I think MS is probably around the corner.
I've also had the very full feeling - a friend of mine said that's how she felt early on too.

Re: how does morning sickness start-off?
mine started with hating the way things smelled. it quickly moved to feeling nauseous all day long.
