Pampered Chef

Has anyone ordered anything from Pampered Chef? What did you order? Is it worth buying stuff from there?

My mom went to a Pampered Chef party and asked me if I wanted her to order anything for me. TIA.

Re: Pampered Chef

Oh I could go on and on.

Get a stone. I use the medium bar pan allll the time.

Their garlic press is awesome. You don't need to peel the garlic and it goes right in the dishwasher.

I also love their Chillzane collection. Small or large bowls with lids that go in the freezer. Great for bringing fruit salad to the beach or something. Or leaving things out at a party.

And finally, I love the mini stuff-spatula, spreader, etc.

I guess I am in the minority. IMHO it's actually not worth it. Nothing they have is so special you can't pick it up at Williams Sonoma or BBB.

I think it's really $$$ for what it is. Someone posted yeterday about all those parties and how you end up paying more for stuff.

I have a couple of things from them and they are nothing special.

Re: Pampered Chef

Definitely a little pricey merchandise.

But all the stuff is great. Love the stones, pizza cutter, bread tubes (i think they were discontinued). Anything you purchase is worth it.

I haven't ordered anything for myself, but I ordered a gift certificate as a Secret Santa gift a couple of months ago. I ordered it through their website, and they messed it up twice.

I ended up going through a local rep and she straightened it out for me.

Re: Pampered Chef

i agree about the stones. i have several and use them all the time. everything cooks perfectly on them. and they come with a lifetime warranty - if anything ever happens to it, they will completely replace it for free.

did you check out their website? just be careful, if you see something you like, check out bed bath and beyond website too. a lot of times they have the same stuff as BBB but it's more expensive.

I have almost everything they sell, dhs grandma practically gave us one of everything in the book at my shower. I absolutely love my cookware, its amazing, my mom visited, used it, and then bought the same set, so easy to clean, doesnt scratch, heats evenly. I am of the opinion that you get what you pay for, so for the little extra you pay, you get a great product

I love the stoneware. I have 2- a medium one and a small one for the toaster oven. I use them all the time. I also love their measure all cup. I use it just about every day. I think it's worth the money.

Re: Pampered Chef

the stone stuff!!!!!!!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!

i use the big, flat stone pan the most - put anything on it - bake cookies on it, heat up chicken on it, cook meat on it, etc! it is amazing!!

just make sure you read up on how to care for the stone, how to clean it and what is supposed to happen to it (ie it getting darker as you use it is a good thing!)

also - i have the stone in a pie pan - omg! each thing i bake gets better and better - i am slowly working on getting everything they make in stone!

Re: Pampered Chef

I have large bar stoneware
garlic press (can't live without)
Pitcher that stirs (with a plunger thing) I use this literally every single day
orange peeler is cool (and cheap)
I love the measuring cup for wet and dry
And I have the measuring spoon that slides to the right measure.
And scrubber brush with long handle (for stoneware)

I have it too and almost sliced my thumb off while preparing some items as my guests were arriving. It is VERY dangerous and you do have to learn how to use it.

Re: Pampered Chef

I bought a stone a few years ago at a party......The only thing I"ve used it for was to reheat pizza....and I must admit, it works great for that...........

They actually changed the design of the mandolin for that very reason. I have the older version from several years ago and don't find it super easy to use. Maybe the newer version is.

I love pampered Chef too. The stones are awesome!

I also have the food chopper and love it! I don't know much about the other tools, but the stoneware is really great. My favorite piece is a covered baking dish(i don't think they sell the one I have anymore). We have a pizza stone that is so seasoned it's black - I love it!
