the assasination of Benazir Bhutto
I think this is so tragic.
I've seen a few interviews with her over the last few weeks on BBC World News.
she's always been outspoken, and was very much so recently after Musharraf closed the Supreme Court and other actions.
I was very saddened to hear about her death...but I must say, every time I heard her speak, I would think about how she has survived so far, and how long she would.
I wonder what, if anything, it means for a woman in this country. it's not like we, the people, are above assasinations, either.
RIP.

I am with you.
I truly cannot believe that this happened. (I mean, I CAN believe because this wasn't the first time that her life was in jeopardy; poor woman was a walking target).
So tragic.

Instability in other nations always makes me nervous. But what Musharraf has done the last few months - makes me even more nervous about what will become of the world (especially ones with nuclear weapons.

I agree. this is very unsettling.
especially when they are supposed to be helping us with the search for Al-Qeda...
I just don't trust him at all...especially when they are looking to take power away...
Power, once given, is almost never relinguished easily.

Very sad indeed...it just makes Musharraf that much more guilty of his disregard for human life...those parts of the world are very scary...to me these people have very little regard for human life to begin with and I can see nukes flying all over the world.
