Anyone up? I need your advice?
Why im even contemplating is INSANE but i feel guilty so....
I was in bed all weekend w/ a sore throat, ear infection, sinus infection the works.
I took Mon off from work and returned yesterday. I was up ALL night bc i felt like my chest was gonna EXPLODE>
Im up now an dmy chest feels better but i can tell my voice is scratchy and im phlemy (TMI sorry)
WHY I AM CONTEMPLATING CALLING IN SICK???
i should stay home right???

Call in sick. Obviously you weren't ready to be back yesterday but you tried. If you push yourself you will not get better!!!
Rest up, put your feet up and FEEL BETTER, you shouldn't be at work and your coworkers will thank you for not spreading your germs.

I gave up feeling guilty when I need to take a day for myself whether due to illness or even if it is a mental health day. I have gone into work while having some very serious medical issues to contend with so my devotion to my job is there.
Im pretty sure you teach right? Trust me when I say that many of the kids you will have in your classroom will not be the picture of health on any given day. If their immune systems AND yours are both compromised, you could end up being out longer than just one day. Get yourself well! Feel better.

Sleep...take care of yourself. The world won't stop without you...that sounds so mean, but I say it from experience. I would go in thinking I had to do everything and you know what? Nobody cared that I was sacrificing myself. So take care of you!!!

Stay home. Get yourself better. No point in going into work when it may just run you down and make you sicker. Besides, I'm sure no one in your office wants to catch whatever it is that you have.

Stay home! Obviously, your body is still fighting off whatever you have & going back to work yesterday could have made it worse. Another day in bed is not the end of the world & your co-workers will understand. Since you are around the holidays, you need to rest up as much as you can...

I am in the exact same boat as you.
Been sick for two weeks with what I thought was a cold, turned into a sinus infection. Took off last Monday, returned to work last week. Well last night I wound up in the ER with horrible pain on the left side of my face running into my ear and even teeth. Turns out the infection spread to my ear and I now have a very bad ear infection. I am now doped up on codiene and am missing work today and feeling guilty. We both learned our lesson - take the time off when necessary - because we just made ourselves worse! Feel better!
