Highs- I get to sing, most of the time it is fun and I work with people who are actually friends and not co-workers.
Lows- Sometimes when we are singing the crowd is drunk and talks very loudly which kinda hurts your feelings and last SaturdaY night for the first time in 16 yrs I had a drink thrown on me by a drunk a-hole.

I'm a singer too! Do you sing in a band? I do mostly b'way type stuff

Well, I work for the Federal gov't so this could be the high-end info you can use as a bargaining chip  for the first 5 years we get 2.5 weeeks, after 5 years we get 4 weeks, after 15 a little more than 5 weeks. Plus, all the govt holidays, and "credit time" which allows us to earn extra time off (and carry 3 days at a time)
do we know about any labor laws on how many vaca days you must be offered?
HA! I work for the Dept. of Labor so you'd think Id know that.

highs: helping sick people, really just love my job all around
Lows: under paid, and one of the docotrs is really RUDE MEAN AND UNPROFESSIONAL!

No S#$@!!! That's awesome! I spent many drunken nights in college at that bar!! I can't believe someone threw a drink at you there

Highs: i'm kind of my own boss, i get to meet different people and here and there, i get to see lots of celebrities.
Lows: i have to work on the weekends and it's not a full time job.
