What do you love about your pet

I have been thinking about Molls constantly since her passing and now realize I loved so many things about her. Here are a few. I'd love to hear some of yours!

The way when I would call her name - she would come trotting over and look at me as to say "What do you want mom?!"

When I was washing dishes and she was thirsty she would sit and bark at me to give her fresh water (She never drank water that was over 30mins old -- and we had to get a poland spring dispenser for her bc she WOULD only drink poland spring)

Every morning as my husband got ready for work and would put on his socks - she would rip them off because she didn't want him to leave. He would give her an extra sock to throw her off! All of his socks now have holes in the big toes and I have to go buy him new ones bc it's just too hard to look at now.

The way she would run and play with my husband in the backyard. I can still picture this when I look out my kitchen window.

She would bark at the back door when her boyfriend (the dog next door) was outside so I would let her out so she could see him.

Sometimes, I would come home and wouldn't get greeted right away...that meant she was fast asleep in her bed up in our room -- I would have to run up there and rub her belly to no end (not an easy task when you are 9mnths preggo and HUGE)

When she was sleepy and my husband would carry her up to our bed -- she would come right up to my head and plop down right next to me. She would also sleep in any crevice of my body that she could.

The way she cuddled with my DH every single morning.

She barked at the garbage men every morning even when they were blocks away...it would start as soon as she heard the screeching. She was SOOO protective of us.

The way she would get so excited when my DH was on his way home from work - and I would say to her "Do you want to wait for Daddy...daddy's coming home" --- She would RUN to the door and just sit there and wait for him.

She was obsessed with my mom. My mom would LITERALLY have to rub her belly for 15 minutes before she could even get in the door of my house. As soon as I said "Grandma's coming over" she was waiting with pure excitement.

How she started to love Jack. When we would come home from being out - I would always put him down first and tell her to say hi to Jack. The first two months she wanted no part of him....but within the last month or so she would go RIGHT up to his face and almost give him a kiss.

I could go on and on....I'd love to hear about your little pups --- and maybe see some things I have to look forward to that this new puppy may do!

Aw, Diana

I love all of my doggies very much but here are some things that melt my heart about each.

Denver;
~my first pet ever. I'll never forget his silly puppy antics and training him All the insanity made me love him more.
~I love that he sleeps in bed with us and always wants his head on me
~I always laugh that he gets jealous when I play with Holden or Bella
~I love how he teaches Holden and Bella to do new things
~I love watching him run like hell and run nonstop. For a little dog, he has tons of energy.
~I love that he greets me every day with a toy in his mouth and ready to play
~When I am sad or down, he won't leave my side and he licks the tears off of my face

Holden
~DH & I call him our cuddle monster. He loves to cuddle - esp with DH. If someone sits on the couch, he literally plops down next to them, belly up. Too cute.
~I love when he gets hyper and runs around, grunting
~He barks at big dogs as if asking them to start with them.
~When he hears another dog bark, he runs for the dog
~When we ask if he wants to go for a walk, his whole body moves with excitement
~I love how he loves my DH
~I love his sweet, laidback demeanor

Bella
~I admire her strength. After a tough life and giving birth to countless puppies, she came to us and is learning how to love and play
~I love watching her interact with Denver and Holden
~She likes to lie down and push her head into me to get me to pet her. So cute.
~If Denver or Holden are being pet, she comes flying to get some love to.
~We bought her a doggy bed, and I love to watch her get comfortable and dig in it
~She is super protective of us

All 3:
~I love that they are ALWAYS excited to see me when I get home
~I love how they love me and DH
~Many more things that I can never put into words

I'm sorry guys - I really didn't mean to get anyone upset. As I was writing that last night it actually felt so good to think of her.

Of course, this morning I am back in hysterics....but last night wasn't so terrible.

I can see this is going to be one hell of an emotional rollercoaster!

Thanks for that Daniela! I think we are so excited and so nervous to get this new puppy. We are expecting her to be just like Molly - while we know that's not fair to her. I just want her in this house already. It's so freaking empty.
