Anyone ever see "The Story of Us"?
With Bruce Willis and Michelle Pfeiffer? It was on cable last night (ch 326 i think) and i just loved it. Its about a couple thats been together so long and argue about everything. when their 2 kids go away on summer camp they do a trial separation. throughout the movie they do flashbacks to all their happy times and it was just so nice to watch a movie that actually talked about the reality of marriage. i was crying like a baby!
Here's an excerpt from the website:
Vows. They're like New Year's resolutions- easy to make and impossible to live up to. Instead of going into a marriage vowing "till death do us part," maybe the ceremony should include the question: "Do you have any idea how difficult this is going to be?" And, if you really believe that you do, then and only then, you shouldn't say "I do," you should say, "I'll try."
i love my DH and of course, we argue like a normal couple and there are highs and lows to all relationships. but this movie really touched me. check it out if you havent seen it.

Yes! I have had this dvd forever!! DH rolls his eyes whenever I break it out but he's away on a business trip this week so guess what! It's me avoiding the sox game by watching the story of us!!!
that is if I don't fall asleep in my dinner plate. I have a habit of doing that- damn pregnancy hormones!!!
