Traveling spouses??
My DH is working on several large projects that require him to work away from home 4 days a week. So far, we're really only in the 1st true month of TTC but I'm banking on having to try at least 3 months to hit the "nail on the head"...
I'm just concerned with him gone so much, we may miss our opportunity

My DH travels for work also but we follow the motto of "when it is meant to happen, it will"
This is our 4th month trying & we have of course not been successful yet. With DH travelling, it is hard at times bc my O schedule falls when he is gone. Just try to stay focussed & don't stress about it too much! It will happen

Re: Traveling spouses??
DH doesn't travel, but i do. It seems like I am always gone druing O time. It is very frustrating. There is NOTHING that can be done about this either...just have to go with it, unless he is willing to find a new job.

Re: Traveling spouses??
Maybe if it could be done ..plan a mini trip around the traveling. If either the DH or wife is away during that time..use that as an excuse to hop on a plane or car and be romantic at night...just some thoughts!

I agree with kissy331. When it happens, it happens!
When I finally had a predictable cycle, I realized DH was going to be traveling when i ovulated. There wasn't much we could do about it, except BD the days before he left and the days just after he returned. Good news, turns out I O'd earlier than we thought, so the actual conception happened while I was home alone and he was out of state. I was gardening and doing pretty heavy yardwork while DH was hanging out with his boys out west - that's when the magic must have really happened, we guess! I patiently did the 2ww, took a test when AF was a day late, and got a BFP. Now we're 4 months along... If we had skipped that particular month because of his traveling, we might still be TTC...

Re: Traveling spouses??
Unfortunately because I am on fertility treatment, we make sure before I start my monthly meds that either one of us are not traveling. I am not willing to take the meds just to miss a month.

Re: Traveling spouses??
Dh and I work different schedules and were hoping and summer would work but unfortunatly BFN all summer. Now me back in school I work 8-10 hours a day usually (7-7) Dh works nights (6-7) we are on completely different shifts and it is so depressing. After this month I am taking off to lose weight, work on me, and not worry/stess about TTC
