My boss asked me if my Dad could...
back date a estimate for him on his car. It was turned in and they are charging him a fortune.
It is not legal and I know my dad won't do it but how do I tell my boss that.
He put me in such an awkward position

This is how I would answer:
"You know, I have to tell you, my dad has been asked my family members before if he had the ability to do something similar for them, but he can't because its too risky and could possibly cost him his job.....i'm sorry".
