So my new boss just asked me...
...if I minded doing the night persons job in the morning (plus my job) cause the night person doesn't do it good enough.  Ummmm, is it me or is that a training issue and she should deal w/ it instead of blowing it off on me??? I said I wouldn't do it cause it's A LOT (and I'm not lazy). I just don't see it fair to ask me to do a night persons 2 hour job in my 1 hour am job plus my tasks. Am I wrong???

exactly. Why not just fire the night person and hire someone who actually gets the job done?

exactly. Why not just fire the night person and hire someone who actually gets the job done?
There are others at night that can do it. She has many options. I think I do so much here they take advantage. I cant picture myself slaving in the morning and the night person eating bon bons.

I agree. I am an exectuvie assistant. Another girl, who assists my bosses boss was having trouble managing his expenses. Well since I do my bosses expenses so well, they gave me the other guys to do also and the other assistant does not have to do it any more.
When i complained to my boss he told me it is the curse of the responsible people. Then he gave me a raise

People who work hard and well always seem to get taken advantage of, unfortunately. You should ask for more money for more responsibility, though.

Good for you. We get paid by the company, not our boss so I have a set pay like everyone else.

They don't have stipends or anything at all available for extra work? I once worked at a university with a union and strict pay rates, and to give people more money, they would issue a stipend for a few thousand dollars for an additional project, without calling it a raise.

I agree, it seems the more capable you are, the more work comes your way from the incompetent. But you should be compensated for that.
