Construction Moratorium in Massapequa
Anybody care to speculate what will happen once it's over?
Anyone know anything about this kind of stuff? Do they usually just allow construction to begin again with no changes to laws or taxes or anything like that?

Re: Construction Moratorium in Massapequa
So are they not giving permits for anyone to do work? Just extensions or any kind of work?
Wow. I was afraid of this.

Wow. I was afraid of this.
They are not issuing any construction permits for 6 months but it only applies to properties South of Merrick.
Yeah...I'm a little concerned what happens after the 6 months are up...

Re: Construction Moratorium in Massapequa
Well we were looking in the Old Harbor Green, Nassau Shores area and I read about the moratorium. It is due to the overbuilding on some lots. That moratorium was a concern of mine too.
I was wondering if permits would also be denied for smaller extensions, as opposed to McMansions.
