Its not that the movie is "scary" I would label it as GORY. Nasty. Scary leaves me on the edge of my seat. Gory movies make me want to barf. I cant stand gore. I saw Hostel in the theater, and had to close my eyes through half of the movie.
Thank you! I totally agree. the following 2 movies, however, do have some gore in them, but truly scared the crap out of me:
Wolf Creek
High Tension (Haute tension)
I'm not counting the classics - Exorcist, Shining, Omwn, etc - am referring to the newer movies out there...
High Tension..thats the french film with the truck driver right?

*shudders in fear* Ooooh, this one really really disturbed me. It was on again tonight and I started to torture myself by watching and I had to turn it off. Very sick. Maybe that's why Hostel didn't bother me so much, the scare factor vs the gore factor.
100% agreed. I was frightened for days after this one
