We Are in our New Home!
We finally moved into our new house on Monday after taking a little over a month to get some work done (painting and floors).
My laptop power is running down, so I can't write much, but the move went very well. We used Gentil Moving, and they did a great job, actually finished earlier and cheaper than was estimated. I highly recommend them if anyone has a move coming up.
Yesterday we had our cable hooked up and the electricians were here fixing the connection to our power line. We also upgraded the electricity while they were at it--this was something we wanted to do eventually, but we were thinking next year till the line fell down.
It seems strange having so much space though, after years in apartments. I haven't lived in a house since I was about 21 years old, so it's odd to me. Plus, it's soooo quiet at night, but I think I'll get used to it soon!

I am loving the space! Yesterday I realized that a studio apartment I had in Manhattan years ago was probably about the size of our master bedroom and bath. Don't know how I ever lived like that!
I was off work yesterday and finished cleaning the kitchen and unpacked our general everyday kitchen stuff. I think we only have about 35 boxes left now!
I am getting used to the quiet--nothing at night but crickets and other insects. It wasn't even that loud where we lived before, but you could often hear some sort of noise or cars driving by.
