I currently am using a dating site myself....I'm actually on Eharmony....had used Match.com after my ex-fiancee and I broke up. I ended up meeting someone off of there and we dated for a short time. Due to bad communication we stopped dating and I was single for a while again until he contacted me and we began dating again. We dated just under five months and he decided he apparently wasn't into me anymore. This was about a month ago (I'm sure you may remember my 4th of July post). Life is too short to sit around waiting, so I joined Eharmony. So far I am communicating with two of the matches and we shall see what happens. A lot of my friends have moved away, others are in serious relationships and half of my friends are married. I work in a predominant female field and more than half of my friends don't go out any more. So needless to say, I rarely get out because face it, I'm not going to go to a bar/club by myself. So half the time the weekends roll around and I'm home. So how am I going to meet anyone? Online dating proves to work...just may take some time. We shall see what happens!! I know exactly what you mean...on Match.com the guys get so many matches (as do the girls) so I kind of find it to be somewhat competitive. I HATE dating.....so that's the only aspect I don't like. I much rather be in a committed relationship with someone who wants to be committed. Lots of guys (especially the guy I was just with.....he was great, but doesn't want to be tied down...doesn't want to get married, nor have children....which is what I wanted) The ones I come across date tons of girls and don't want to settle. It stinks....but hopefully the right guy will come along for all of us single girls. Hang in there....I know what you are going through!! For me I wish I had people to go out with to actually meet someone, but I'll settle for the online dating

DH and I met online. I think there are going to be princes and frogs whether you meet them online or not.
