video monitors vs. sound only monitors
Hi!
As I am registering, I am having a problem chosing between the two... of course the video is much more expensive, but is it necessary? Which one did you register for and why?? Thanks! :)

I love our Summer video handheld monitor. DH and I can lay in bed watching DS without disturbing him. It is great on the weekend mornings when DS plays in his crib

Re: video monitors vs. sound only monitors
we registered for the Summer video monitor. we have a 2 story home, so I am more comfortable being able to "see" her if she is upstairs sleeping and we're downstairs.

Re: video monitors vs. sound only monitors
I guess I am the only one, but I have a sound monitor, no video at all. I don't really think its necessary to have a video monitor, I can hear EVERY breath he takes with that thing- its very powerful.

Re: video monitors vs. sound only monitors
I registered for the video. Mostly because when she gets older, she may start to move around and such, and I don't want to run in everytime i hear a louder than normal noise - this way I can see what is going on without disturbing.

I agree, I never felt the need for a video monitor, I am happy with my sound only.

Re: video monitors vs. sound only monitors
We registered for the video monitor because a family member was telling us about how convenient it is. You can see the baby right there rather than risking waking them up by checking on them constantly.

Re: video monitors vs. sound only monitors
Thanks for all your replies!... I was leaning toward the video monitor, but DH doesn't see the need... It just seems as though we registered for so many pricey items already!.... :)

We registered for the Summer video monitor. DH saw it and wanted it. I did a search after we registered for it, and everyone here that has it loves it.

I didn't get the video monitor until I started to worry my daughter could climb out of the crib. For the first year and a half the sound only one was enough.
