Daycare at your job?
This is family related but I'm posting here since you don't have to have kids to respond to this...Since we were talking about SAHMs, etc. I'm thinking this may help out those looking for other options. My daycare is for employees but has a waiting list for non-employees and costs significantly less than other centers.
who has on the job daycare options AND is willing to post where they work?
So far I'm aware of:
Computer Associates - Montesorri School, I think
State Government workers, Happauge
VA Hospital, Northport

i believe North Shore LIJ has onsite day care... but only at the Manhasset location.

My job does not have daycare on the premises, but they will contribute 25% to any daycare you choose.

When I was in college I worked at a market research firm that did a lot of work with CMP Media in Manhasset. They had onsite day care at the time, not sure about now.
Hofstra has a day care facility on campus, but I believe it's privately run and you don't have to be an employee to use it. In fact I don't know that employees get a discount. I'll have to ask my friend.
