EWCM????

I never seem to get this......anyone else experience this? I read in TCOYF that it's very stretchy, and some women get ALOT of it.....I NEVER get it.....

I used to get it, but now that I'm looking for it, it doesn't show up. Before when we weren't trying I had it all the time---strange

I never get it either. I'm wondering if this is in part b/c I really don't drink enough water. I'm trying to drink more and I'm also trying green tea, evening primrose oil and preseed this month.

I get it every month. When I first went off BCP I would get it for like 4 days in a row, this past month I only got for 2 days. On FF they said some women get it and some don't. For some women the most fertile CM they get is watery. Women on here have mentioned things you can do to increase CM. For some reason carrots are coming to mind

I rarely, if ever, seem to get EWCM. I just ordered preseed.
Plus, I heard that baby carrots, green tea, grapefruit juice and Robitussin all can help with CM. I'm going to try all of them this month! Can't hurt, right?

For me, I tend to see it only one day each month. It appears to be a thick clear jelly...very similar to the look of raw egg whites.

I still don't understand exactly what it is but HTH

I used to get lots of it when I was younger. Now I get it one day out of the month and not nearly as much in terms of volume. Last month I used mucinex and it seemed to thin it out a bit and made it more stretchy.

I used to get it when I wasn't on the pill, and since I've come off the pill I have yet to get it.

That is exactly what I get. It comes "out" once and only once. I don't know when you O after that though..

That is exactly what I get. It comes "out" once and only once. I don't know when you O after that though..

I too get the "one time" observation of ewcm- usually in the morning then later in the day or evening when I go to BD it's not as apparent. Does this mean it all came out that one time or is there still some up there by the cervix? Do you have to do the deed exactly when you see it? That would take some amazing coordination of schedules!

I stopped getting it after my D&C last year. That is why I finally tried PreSeed the month I got pregnant.

THat's okay! Don't worry about it. Not everyone gets text book symptoms. I can remember getting this in the past, but not since ttc. You prob. get it, but its not as stretchy/white/perfect as they say it should be.....

I get a lot of it...3-5 days typically, which can make it hard to predict O...you never know how much advance notice it is giving you! I found the baby carrots and unsweetened white grapefruit juice will lead to some about 2-4 hours later for me.

This month I've been drinking lots of water and green tea and I had some baby carrots yesterday and I have ewcm today on cd 9 and I'm not due to O until sometime over the weekend...just when you think you've figured things out Now I'm really confused!!!

I think I'm going to stop looking and just BD when we feel like it this week. I mentioned ewcm to my mom the other day and told her its purpose and she was dumbfounded. She really had no clue. I realize that it's important to know and understand our bodies, but I can't help but think that many, many, women who are or have been pregnant were not looking for ewcm during their fertile week!

THe job of EWCM is to create create a sheild for the sperm to travel through the otherwise hostile environment of our female anatomy. It cushions, protects, and moves the sperm to the right place so that it can fertilize your egg.
If you do not see EWCM, do not worry too much....not everyone gets it so visibly. Its probably inside you, just not as prominent as in some women.

If you don't get EWCM, charting temps. is probably a better method to determine ovulaton.

I used to always get EWCM....a lot of it before TTC. Now that I'm looking for it, I don't see it. Commencing this month I am taking Evening primrose oil and drinking enough water to float away in an effort to get more of it.
