No, dh is an electrician. He tells me about what he did all day and I have no idea what he is talking about.
Mine is also an electrician. I have no doubt I could do his job if I learned it, but would never want to - he worked IN the subway tunnels for 2 years. At least now he's wiring places like the new Bloomberg building or Carnegie Hall.
There is no way on earth he could do my job. I can't imagine him having the patience to deal with my boss or to have the kiss-ups play politics to get increases.

No way DH is a network administrator. I know some stuff about computers but not nearly as much as he does but at the same time I know he can never do what I do (nurse) so we're even.

i could, but i wouldnt want to. he's good at separating his feelings, i think it would be too emotional for me. and he has to drive to different places, and i have no sense of direction, so i'd be screwed

Sounds exactly like my job!! What the heck does he do?!!!
No.... we could never switch...he is a perpetual student and I hated writing papers & that's all he does right now!

thats so funny... b/c i'm back in school and DH said he could NEVER do that again (or do the field im going into )
he's in a different field than you though... child protective services
