The rollercoaster is down again....
I started bleeding last night and I'm scared again. DH and I were at our friends' wedding, I had to run to the ladies' room and I gasped when I looked in the toilet (TMI). Bright red blood, similiar to the first day of my period. Horrible.
DH and I left the wedding and called the doctor's office. Dr. said there would be nothing they could do if I was bleeding and M/C. he told me to stay calm and think positive....some women actually bleed as much as a light period every month of their pregnancy. He told me that as long as the bleeding does not get to the point of being similar to the heaviest day's flow of my period, that I should go home and rest.
Last night I had just spotting until around 1am then nothing. I'm very nervous, but I understand nature has a plan we need to respect. It's just such a roller coaster.
BTW, still very nauseaus and my sense of smell is still heightened. DH and I are trying to stay positive, but GD this is awful.

I'm new to this board, but I'm on an emotional roller coaster....can you tell my your thoughts??
I had a missed period, got a BFP, confirmed at Dr.'s office with urine test. Went for maternity blood work, but they didn't do a Beta HCG test. They told me I was 5 weeks. The next week I had a little bit of dull red spotting (only one time, nothing like AF). Vaginal sono showed no signs of pregnancy, and the doctor told me to wait for AF then TTC again next month. I haven't started bleeding yet, so I requested a beta HCG test this week, and the result is over 6000! So one week I'm pregnant, one week I've M/C, now I'm not sure. We repeated the beta test today, and I'm nervous about the results tomorrow.
I know if the level goes over 10,000 then I'm good, but if it goes lower then I'm back to TTC. Is it possible they miscalculated my timing, and the sono didn't show anything because I'm not as far along as we thought? What would you think?
Update:
I'm pregnant!
The nurse called me this morning with my 2nd level of beta HCG and the number went from 6200 on Monday to 10,000 yesterday! DH and I went in for a sono this morning and they saw what they were looking for last week - a perfectly healthy 5w5d sonogram. The doctor was wrong with the initial calculation and he was DAMN wrong to tell me I M/C when he simply didn't see what he could not have seen.
So we are healthy and we feel like our wishes came true. I'll post the sono picture later for you.
Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and concerns. I was on LIWeddings and loved it there....I will love it on LIFamilies.

Congrats to you! In the beginning, it is so sketchy as to when you got pregnant, esp. if you don't know your cycle, or when you may have conceived. Something similar happened to me. Although they never told me I miscarried, but when I went for the original sono after bleeding, there was only a pregnancy sac and if I was as far along as the dr. originally told me, there would have been more. Well, after a STRESSFUL week of beta tests (where I was told my #'s didn't go up as much as they should have) and another night of bleeding, I went in for another sono and EVERYTHING WAS FINE!!!! We saw the heartbeat, and it was amazing. Now I am 10 weeks and all is well.
I never realized how babies develop at different times in the beginning....but they do! Again, congrats and good luck!

Oh, you're story makes me feel so much better. After bleeding the other night I thought for sure we were having a M/C, but yesterday was fine and this morning I am more nauseaus than ever. My mom has given me some great advice - to remember this really is the "miracle" that DH and I have been waiting for, and we need to take things one day at a time. Now we pray everyday that we get more time to help our baby grow.
Also, my mom told me one of her aunts actually got her period every month for each of her pregnancies...MIL also told me the same thing about one of her sisters. Everyone is different, so we'll stay positive and hope for the best.

UPDATE!!!
We saw the heartbeat today on our US! yay! 115bpm....I can't describe it, but we thought it was magical to see the flicker of the heartbeat. They changed our due date to 10 days after the original date....2/24/08!
