If you have the appropriate applications set up when you go to print you should see "Adobe" in your list of printers.
It's the only way I have been able to do it, HTH.

You need adobe acrobat, so you may not have it.

Download and install Primo PDF
It will allow you to save word documents as PDF files. You do it by choosing "Print to PDF" and then Primo will launch and allow you to select where to save it.
