I think you have to have Adobe writer as well as reader. Do you have to make changes to the document?

There should be a Word to PDF conversion button in your upper left corner of Word. You cant do it otherwise. Have your IT people install an updated version of Word for you.
Oh sorry I read wrong....you're trying to do it the other way around...that could be done with a special program which name I forgot, but even then the letters come out all distorted and you're better off just retyping it all.

I have a fancy program that does that. It's called ScanSoft. It does a good job with straight text, but messes up any charts or diagrams.
