Shutters

Can any of you recommend a place to get shutters from? And if you have any cost info that would be great.

We want to add them to the front of our house - I think it looks so boring without them. Not that shutters are exciting, but you know what I mean Chat Icon

I am thinking about Forest Green....

TIA!!!

Re: Shutters

I plan on getting them from HD, the instock ones aren't expensive - around $35 for the pair... its gets more expensive as they get bigger, and even more if you want custom.

Green would look nice. We just did a wicker (darker tan) outside with wineberry shutters.

We got our shutters a Pinacle Shutters in West Babylon. Very reasonable and you can get custom sizes really fast!

Re: Shutters

I actually ordered them online from www.architecturaldepot.com. They have color samples you can order ($5 or $10 for all the colors) which is applicable to your order if you buy through them. They have a very nice selection!

It wasn't too hard for DH to put them up himself, not sure how handy your DH is.Chat Icon

I think a maroon or a dark rust color would look very nice!

Re: Shutters

I have shutters that I got at HD. DH has not installed them yet, but it doesn't look too difficult.

I have them in dark green.

Re: Shutters

i hear ya. DH is not too handy. They are really easy to install but since you want shutters high up maybe you can hire a handyman type person.

Re: Shutters

what about awnings over the windows? I love that look.

We got our shutters from Home Depot, don't remember the cost but it was definitely cheap.
