Re: What are your grammar peeves?

Incorrect use of the present perfect.

"Did you do that yet?" is incorrect.

"If I was you, I would...". It is is "If I were you..."

I have too many to list. I prefer to spare you all from my rantings. Just know that my skin crawls on a regular basis.

Re: What are your grammar peeves?

Big one here in LA for some reason. People say Heigth instead of Height. I have no idea why they pronounce the "th" sound. Its so annoying.

Re: What are your grammar peeves?

on message boards I'm not really bothered by anything, because its casual entertainment & I'm a TERRIBLE typer & usually too lazy to edit even if I notice a mistake after I post.

In real life when people speak I dislike,
"Aks" or "axe" instead of ask
liberry and febuerry

gonna
is annoying too when talking to adults in business settings.

Re: What are your grammar peeves?

I hate when people make a big deal about grammar mistakes. I felt in my school we were not taught too much grammar and what I was taught I found some of it difficult to understand. I am in no position to critique someone's grammar.

Re: What are your grammar peeves?

I would say misspelling bothers me more than grammar.
